On March 28, Beijing XJ Independent Security Relationship Database (PowerDB) successfully passed the evaluation from the Information Security Laboratory of China Electric Power Research Institute. According to the evaluation results, Beijing XJ database has met the requirement of third level on database national standard GB/T 20273-2006.

Open-source database PostgreSQL is one of the current mainstream open-source relational data processing software. It is widely used in countries such as Russia, Japan and the U.S.A. PowerDB was second developed and encapsulated based on open-resource data, previous database R&D and application experiences. PowerDB inherits all the advantages of PostgreSQL open-source database, either added with or improved in database security, Oracle compatibility, graphical interface and distributed cluster. On the PostgreSQL Conference China 2015, Beijing XJ shared the independent controllable database management software based on PostgreSQL. Its research and application promotion achievements in State Grid Corporation of China were recognized by the industrial peers.

Currently, PowerDB is in stable operation. It has obtained good results in supporting business systems. Pilot application of PowerDB has been conducted in 16 informatisation systems, including the unified data protection and monitoring platform of the SGCC information system, information system cloud testing platform, vulnerability and security patch management system, the Worker's Book House information management system and the marketing file management system of SGCC Zhejiang.
